Your journey starts at London’s St Pancras International where you’ll hop on the Eurostar bound for Paris Gare du Nord. The trip takes approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, giving you just enough time to sit back and relax. Once you arrive in Paris, you’ll need to transfer to Paris Gare de Lyon, either by metro or taxi. The transfer between the two stations typically takes around 30-45 minutes.

From Paris Gare de Lyon, catch a TGV Lyria train to Geneva, Switzerland. This leg of the journey takes around 3 hours, offering views of the French countryside as you edge closer to the Swiss border. Geneva’s main station, Gare Cornavin, is centrally located, and you can grab a quick bite or stretch your legs before the next part of the trip.

2. Geneva to Thonon-les-Bains by Train or transfer

From Geneva, your next step is to take a train to Thonon-les-Bains, a charming town on the southern shores of Lake Geneva. Direct trains between Geneva and Thonon take approximately 45 minutes, and they run fairly frequently throughout the day. Make sure to check the train schedules in advance, as you might need to wait an hour or so between connections. You can download the SBB mobile app and book directly over this or from the ticket machines in the station.
