With over 600km of marked trails across some of the best terrain in the Alps, Morzine is a mountain biking mecca. The lifts open from June to September, giving you plenty of time to explore the mountains on two wheels this summer.

Nothing beats a big day hiking in the mountains, and Morzine has countless routes to suit every ability. Hiking maps with suggested itineraries are available from the Tourist Office, but one of our favourite walks is the loop from Lac des Mines d'Or to the Col de Cou on the French–Swiss border.

There are plenty of places to enjoy the water in summer. Morzine's outdoor swimming complex is ideal for families, with a heated 50m pool, children's pool and waterslide. Nearby Lac de Montriond is one of the area's most beautiful spots for swimming, paddleboarding or simply relaxing by the shore.

For a completely different perspective, take to the skies on a tandem paragliding flight. Flying alongside an experienced instructor, you'll glide over the valley, taking in panoramic views of the town and surrounding mountains.
